2020 Recruitment are working with our Dunfermline based client who are looking to add a Quality Technician to their manufacturing team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well established business where quality is at the heart of everything they do. Working closely with the production, engineering and supplier quality teams, you will play a key role in ensuring products meet the highest standards before being released to customers.

The successful candidate will have previous experience working within a manufacturing environment, ideally within medical devices, electronics or another regulated industry.

The Role

As the Quality Technician your duties will include the following:

  • Carry out final inspection and approval of manufactured products before release.
  • Complete goods in inspection of components from suppliers.
  • Ensure products meet quality standards and manufacturing specifications.
  • Support investigations into quality issues and assist with root cause analysis.
  • Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Monitor supplier quality and support continuous improvement activities.
  • Maintain accurate quality documentation and inspection records.
  • Support validation activities and engineering change processes where required.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP procedures and company quality standards.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a Quality Technician, Quality Inspector or similar manufacturing quality role.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment. Medical devices, electronics or other regulated industries would be highly advantageous.
  • Knowledge of goods in inspection, final inspection and product release processes.
  • Understanding of quality tools such as Root Cause Analysis, FMEA and SPC would be beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.
  • Competent using Microsoft Office and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • ONC, HNC or equivalent qualification in an engineering or manufacturing discipline would be advantageous.
  • Right to work in the UK and live within a commutable distance of Dunfermline
